Why does graphite conduct electricity but diamond does not?

• BIn graphite, each carbon uses only 3 of its 4 outer electrons in bonds, so a delocalised electron is free to move; in diamond all 4 are in bonds with no free electrons
• CDiamond is harder so electrons cannot flow
• DDiamond is more reactive than graphite
